I can remember when I got married, but sometimes I can’t remember why I got married!
Have you ever wondered what this thing called marriage is all about?
We believe that the purpose of marriage can be found Mark 10-6-8. Jesus says, “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’[a] 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b] 8 and the two will become one flesh.’[c] So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
The purpose of marriage is to act as single unit, a team in every aspect of life. We have found that is hard to do! We are two individuals, with different thoughts, likes, dislikes, ideas, etc. At times, it seems we are never on the same page, let alone acting as a single unit!
So, then, how do we accomplish existing, acting as a single unit, a team? The first step is to get on the same page. Whether it is parenting style, vacation destinations, or sex. Getting on the same page is crucial to acting as a team. You may not always agree, but conversations and compromise are key.
