Men and Women speak different languages. Dr. Gary Chapman identifies the concept of love language in his book, The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts . Each of us communicates by means of a different love language. My love language is quality time. Jay’s is physical touch.
We highly recommend this book as a tool to discover the love languages that you and your spouse are speaking. You can even take the short quiz FREE on Dr. Chapman’s website here. Now you can not only understand what love language your spouse is speaking but you can ultimately show them love by learning to speak their language. Speaking in your spouse’s love language probably won’t be natural for you. Dr. Chapman says, “We’re not talking comfort. We’re talking love. Love is something we do for someone else. So often couples love one another but they aren’t connecting. They are sincere, but sincerity isn’t enough.”
