Are you full or empty? Wouldn’t it be great if every day we could be privy to a little gas gauge on the forehead of those around us that would let us know if they were full or empty? Life would be so much easier to handle because we would know why our spouse yelled at us or why the man at the hardware store was so grumpy. In many ways, however, it’s fortunate that we don’t have this gauge as far too many of us run dangerously close to empty the majority of the time.

Most often when we are running on empty, it is the result of our own actions. We go too fast, spend too little time with the Lord, neglect family, and friends, and find ourselves running on fumes. How do we maintain a full life and keep our life tank from running on empty? The twelfth chapter of Romans, verses one and two, offer a solution.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—which is your spiritual worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:1-2

Listener Shout-Out of the Week

We walked into a lot of sexual immorality and drug abuse in our marriage. We have been in recovery for 6 years and God is amazing He has delivered us both from so much. But our sex life has been injured and it still has hindrances from our past. We also struggle with the path God has for us. We have been married 20 years and desire to do God’s will. We do aid in ministry at our church which is a struggle lately. We have been through so much we feel God will use us to help others just haven’t gotten the opportunity. We strongly believe in God’s timing and know He will guide us.

We deeply enjoyed the Ultimate Date Night the laughs were much needed.
