OK FELLAS I need your help because this blog is especially for you! No offense ladies, you can chime in if you want (you usually do) 🙂 but I really need help from the guys!

I’m writing a book entitled Six Seasons of a Man’s Life and I’d like to ask you to reflect on your own life or on the life of a man you look up to and see if these “Seasons” ring true.  I’d love to hear your thoughts about the seasons too…have I missed one?

PreparationLearning, growing, becoming.
We are called to be lifelong learners so learn something new everyday!
Luke 2:52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

ProductivityWorking hard to prove oneself. Finding your niche.
Working gives us great satisfaction and self esteem.  Work at something you love and you’ll never have a job!
Colossians 3:23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

ProlificBecoming great at something.  Refining a gift.
We all have gifts, take one of your gifts and become great at it!
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

ProfitableUsing your gift for the accumulation of influence.
In a money driven culture can we see the value of influence and the mark it will leave on the world?
1 Corinthians 10:23 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.

ProsperousMultiplying the influence in others around you.
“Pay it Forward” by investing in others who will in turn influence more.
2 Timothy 2:2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

PatriarchalLeaving a legacy of influence and people development
Living a life that inspires others!
Ecclesiastes 7:10-12 Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?” For it is not wise to ask such questions. 11 Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing and benefits those who see the sun.12 Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.

Like I said, I would  like to ask you to reflect on your own life or on the life of a man you look up to and see if these “Seasons” ring true.  I’d love to hear your thoughts, questions, and more! Comment below or direct message me on FB!
